Why is well water so good? Well, it’s because of aquifers. Natural water reservoirs found in rock below the ground’s surface are called aquifers. By drilling into these aquifers you can gain access to the water these aquifers hold after pumping the water into a well. Even though you need to check your well water for pollutants and chemicals, the contaminants in aquifers will be way less than those found in run-off water.
Water found in aquifers is much cleaner than the water on the ground level. Bacteria are almost non-existent in aquifers. Furthermore, as water filters through the soil on its path to an aquifer, many pollutants are filtered out as well.
